Bosch Travel and Tours provides clients with travel and/or other services as an agent for and on behalf of principals and/or other agents engaged in or associated with the travel industry, including inter alia, airlines, tour operators, hotels, shipping companies, car hire and other providers of air, land, sea or any other travel arrangements, products or services (collectively hereinafter referred to as “the suppliers”). Bosch Travel and Tours will provide, on request, the identity, terms and conditions of the suppliers relevant to the service being provided for your booking.

Bosch Travel and Tours offers private and scheduled tours for individuals, couples and families and group trips that are customized for Special Interest groups, University and School groups. Bosch Travel and Tours can facilitate and operate a wide range of activities that can be incorporated into your itinerary. A few activities such as walking safaris, big five game drives, white shark cage diving, kayaking are often outsourced to specialized tour operators. Many of the activities are outdoors and in Nature Reserves and National Parks, but we also highlight on the cultural diversity in host countries. We are able to enhance any trip and provide the best travel plans best suited to your budget, and can arrange a wide diversity of experiences with tour leaders and guest speakers to accompany your group and that meets you’re travelling needs.

Preparing for your Trip:

Our primary objective is to take the hassle out of a great travel experience. In return, we count on people to ensure that they have the right travel documents, health requirements and sense of adventure. Appreciate that in your host destination, local living standards, practices, services and accommodations may differ from those at home and to understand the fact that a road less traveled means a more unpredictable and more rewarding travel experience.


To make your reservation please contact the Bosch Travel and Tours office by e-mail. You are pleased ask to complete a Tour Itinerary and Quote request form which will aid us to provide you with accurate details and an itinerary that best suits your requirements. Reservations will be confirmed on receipt of a 50% deposit. If you book less than one month before the departure date, full payment must be received before the booking can be accepted. To secure your reservation, a 50% or 100% deposit will be required to be paid to Bosch Travel and Tours within 72 hours of the date of the invoice and submission of the completed booking form. Quotes are valid for one month after which prices can be subject to change. The price will be confirmed once a reservation has been made and deposit received. As Bosch Travel and Tours is a South African registered company all reservations shall be deemed to have been concluded in South Africa and shall be interpreted according to the laws in Republic of South Africa.

Cancellations by the client:

We recommend cancellation insurance. If you wish to cancel your trip, this must be done in writing by the person whose name the trip is invoiced to or the agent through whom the booking was made. In the event of cancellation, the deposit fee will be non-refundable. A booking is considered confirmed when notification is received in writing from you. Any cancellation made after this written confirmation is received will be subject to penalties if within the penalty period whether or not a deposit has been made. All confirmed bookings will automatically incur a 10% non-refundable admin and bank charge fee for any cancellations received.

Cancellations by Bosch Travel and Tours:

Occasionally Bosch Travel and Tours has to cancel confirmed bookings. We always endeavour to avoid cancelling, but we must reserve the right to do so. We shall not cancel your confirmed booking unless you fail to make all payments due in full and on time or we are forced to do so as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care (“force majeure”). If we cancel your booking (except where you have failed to make payment or as a result of force majeure), we shall use our best endeavours to offer you the choice of purchasing an alternative holiday from us of a similar standard to that originally booked if available. Except where we cancel for reasons other than those mentioned above, we shall have no further liability to you. We regret we cannot pay any expenses, costs or losses incurred as a result of any cancellation. We reserve the right, without prior notice, to terminate the booking of any person in your party if, in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority, the persons concerned behave in such a way to cause or be likely to cause danger, annoyance or distress to any third party or damage to property. We shall have no further responsibility towards such person(s). No refunds will be made and we shall not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.


Bosch Travel and Tours shall not be liable to the client for any claim of whatsoever nature in connection with the provision of the services (whether in contract or delict) and whether for damages for personal injury or to property, howsoever arising, including but not limited to, any negligent act or omission or statement by Bosch Travel and Tours, its employees, directors, members, representatives and/or agents. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these standard terms and conditions of contract, Bosch Travel and Tours shall under no circumstances whatever, be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, howsoever caused or suffered by the client.


Every effort is made to ensure that vehicles at Bosch Travel and Tours are provided in a roadworthy condition but no liability can be accepted for breakdown, or any damage or delay. In the event that a Guide does not follow the code of conduct, please inform the General Manager. All vehicles must only be driven by the guide whose decision on all matters, such as the route taken, is final. You will be liable for any damage caused to a vehicle by any interference by you with the vehicle, including legal costs.


Complaints must be reported immediately to the General Manager of Bosch Travel and Tours, who will do their best to resolve any problem. If you remain dissatisfied, a written report should be submitted to the Sales and Marketing Manager as soon as possible after the incident and not later than 7 days after completion of your holiday, to enable us to investigate them fully. Regrettably, liability for any complaints not notified in accordance with this procedure cannot be accepted.

Medical issues:

Both Australia and South Africa has excellent health services and doctors with some of the best training in the world. There are adequate hospitals and medical care facilities throughout the country. In rural areas however, the distance to such adequate facilities can be far. Similarly, the cost of world class private medical treatment is high. As such visitors should ensure that they have sufficient medical insurance to cover any medical emergency situation should the need arise. No vaccinations are required when visiting Australia or South Africa and immunization against cholera and small pox are not required. However, if you are entering South Africa from a yellow fever zone, you must be in possession of a valid international yellow fever inoculation certificate. Malaria is found only in the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo and on the Maputaland coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Malaria is at low risk in the winter months. It is only possible to contract malaria by being bitten by an infected mosquito – however, when visiting these areas it is advisable to take the necessary safety and medical precautions. Use mosquito nets and an insect repellent to avoid being bitten. In addition, medication can be taken and should be taken according to the instructions given. Medication should be taken starting two weeks before entering the malaria zone and for four weeks after leaving the area. Bosch Travel and Tours will advise on medical issues once a booking is made, but we advise consulting with your doctor or travel clinic beforehand. Please note that malaria medication should not be taken during pregnancy. It is important that Bosch Travel and Tours is made aware of any prior medical conditions amongst any of the travelling group members, upon booking of the tour. Once bookings are made it is not possible to make substitute arrangements if this information is not forthcoming at the time of confirmation.

Because of the active nature of the tours, comprehensive travel insurance is obligatory for all guests. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure they have the right policy and paperwork. The insurance must include the cost of repatriation and helicopter rescue if the client becomes too ill to continue. We reserve the right to cancel bookings at any time if we are not satisfied that adequate insurance is in place for participants. Guests will be liable to reimburse Bosch Travel and Tours for any money paid by us on their behalf for emergency medical transportation, repatriation, doctor and hospital costs and any other expenses related to illness if they become too ill or injured to continue on the trip.


Every precaution is taken on tour to ensure all clients safety (including working with registered tour guides, meeting all international standards, and prior evaluation of tour activities for suitability by Bosch Travel and Tours staff), however Bosch Travel and Tours accepts no responsibility for any person as a result of any reasons whatsoever. Tours of this nature involve physical activity that can be demanding, depending on the condition of the traveler, and involve risk of serious personal injury, including permanent disability and death from accident, illness or the negligence of other persons. Medical facilities and services may not be easily accessible and may not be sophisticated as in your home country. There are other risks associated with the trips, such as theft or loss of or damage to property. In addition, some of the services provided in connection with the trip, including lodging, transportation, food service and local tours and activities, are obtained from independent suppliers over whom Bosch Travel and Tours has limited control. In consideration for participating in the trips travelers agree not to sue Bosch Travel and Tours in respect of, and forever release them from, all liability for economic loss and physical or mental injury, direct or indirect, arising in connection with the trip-including without limitation, permanent disability and death; any emotional distress; any loss of services, financial support, aid, consortium or companionship; and any damage to or loss of property-in each case even if caused in whole or in part by the conduct, including the negligence, of Bosch Travel and Tours or its employees, except where such loss, injury or damage is caused by the reckless or fraudulent conduct on the part of Bosch Travel and Tours, or its employees, guides, or directors in which case the traveler retains the right to sue only Bosch Travel and Tours. Travelers further agree that they will hold Bosch Travel and Tours harmless in respect of any claims arising in connection with the trip made by: i) the traveler’s family members, dependents or heirs, or ii) third parties, which the traveler, their estate, their family members, dependents or heirs have sued, if damages are recovered from such third parties, to the extent the third party obtains any indemnification from Bosch Travel and Tours; except where the loss, injury, death or damage is caused by the reckless or fraudulent conduct on the part of Bosch Travel and Tours employees, guides, or directors.

Foreign Exchange and bank fees:

Should you wish to make payment for your vacation by means of a credit card (Visa and MasterCard accepted only), please note that in terms of the South African Reserve Bank foreign currency regulations, all payments must be converted into South African Rand prior to credit card payment processing. This may lead to foreign exchange variances. Strengthening and weakening of the South African Rand may increase or decrease the billing amount reflected in your currency. Clients are welcome to settle payment by means of a bank transfer as per the invoice emailed to you by the. The Company consultant – in this instance the amount will be converted by your bankers on presentation of our invoice. It is the client’s responsibility to inform and instruct their bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into the. The Company bank account and that ALL bank charges are for the client’s account.

In further consideration for participating in the trip travelers agree that Bosch Travel and Tours or their designate may use any photographic or film records of the trips for promotional purposes, without any remuneration to the traveler. The traveler agrees to assign all right, title, and interest they may have in or to any media in which their name or likeness might be used to Bosch Travel and Tours.
